WILLCOME Self-adhesive bandages, we also call them as cohesive bandages or self-adherent bandages, are a type of medical bandage that sticks to itself without the need for additional adhesive or tape.
They are valuable tools in medical and first aid settings due to their ease of use, versatility, and ability to provide compression and support while remaining comfortable and non-irritating to the skin. They are an essential component of any well-equipped first aid kit and are widely used in healthcare and sports medicine.
Self-Adherence: Self-adhesive bandages stick to themselves without the need for additional adhesives or fasteners. They adhere securely when wrapped around a body part but do not stick to the skin, hair, or clothing.
Stretchability: Self-adhesive bandages are made from elastic materials that allow them to stretch and conform to the shape of the body. This stretchability provides a snug and comfortable fit, making them suitable for wrapping joints and body parts.
Compression: The stretchable nature of these bandages allows them to provide effective compression. When applied correctly, they can help reduce swelling and provide support to injured or strained areas, such as ankles, wrists, and knees.
Breathability: Self-adhesive bandages are often made with non-woven fabric or other breathable materials. This breathability allows air to pass through, reducing the risk of skin maceration (softening due to moisture) and promoting wound healing.
Easy Application: These bandages are designed for easy and quick application. They can be wrapped around an injured area with minimal effort, making them suitable for self-application and first aid situations.
No Clips or Pins: Self-adhesive bandages do not require clips, pins, or fasteners to secure them in place. They adhere to themselves through cohesive forces, eliminating the need for additional hardware.
Variety of Sizes and Colors: Self-adhesive bandages are available in various sizes and colors to accommodate different body parts and preferences. Common widths include 1 inch, 2 inches, and 4 inches.
Versatility: Self-adhesive bandages are versatile and can be used for various purposes, including covering and protecting minor cuts, scrapes, blisters, wrapping joints, and providing temporary support for sports injuries.
Tearable by Hand: These bandages can be easily torn by hand, eliminating the need for scissors or cutting tools during application.

Spandex can be stretched to eight times its original length and return to its original shape immediately when the tension is released.
